Free music, food, and fun at So You Think You Can DJ

Come to the University Union Plaza from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Friday, April 21 for the first-ever “So You Think You Can DJ.” Hosted by ASI Events, the student DJ competition will feature five DJ acts including Alt 9, Tyler Ball, DJ Felly Fell, Eric Tang, and duo Alec Soto and Austin Stewart. The winner will open the 2017 Spring Stampede concert in June.

“I think that student DJs are a somewhat untapped market for student musicians,” ASI Musical Entertainment Assistant Kelsey Carter said. “With the rising popularity of electronic dance music, I am excited to see the potential in our own student body.”

The event is free and open to the public. Free Woodstock’s Pizza, tacos, and ice cream will be available for all students with a valid PolyCard. All attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite DJ at the end of the event.

Follow the ASI Events Facebook and Instagram for music previews and updates on upcoming events, including Fun in the Sun at the Cal Poly Recreation Center pool on Saturday, April 29!
