Name: Colleen Richards
Position: ASI Poly Escapes Student Manager
Major: Biomedical Engineering
Minor: Spanish
School year: 3rd
Hometown: Centennial, Colorado

1) What's your favorite activity?
Anything outdoors! I really love to run and hike, especially around SLO and at home in Colorado! When I'm home in the winter I ski as much as I can!

2) What's something most people don't know about you?
I've climbed 10 fourteeners so far (mountains above 14,000 feet in elevation).

3) What do you like most about working for ASI?
The people! Everyone truly loves their job and is passionate about what they do, and it's so great to be able to impact the students of Cal Poly in a positive way.

4) What's your favorite spot in SLO?
Pirate's Cove

5) What's the best place you've traveled to and why?
Valencia, Spain! I love the history of the city, the art, and the food! The city is a great size and there's so much to do there! Also the fireworks in the summer are the best I've ever seen.

6) What's on your bucket list?
Skydiving, backpacking in South America, getting scuba certified, going to Antarctica, really I just want to travel more!

7) What do you hope to achieve after you graduate?
I want to spend some time doing volunteer work in the medical field and get involved in research related to genetics!

8) What advice would you give to students interested in working for ASI?
Go for it! It seems challenging because ASI does want the best people, but if you're willing to put yourself out there it's so worth it.
