Donate Gifts, Food, and Funds This Holiday Season

It’s the season of giving, and with the holidays in full swing there are a number of ways to give back and support local community members in need. No matter the size, every contribution has the ability to make a difference and touch a life this holiday season.

Season of Hope

Cal Poly has teamed up with the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo to participate in the Season of Hope, a food drive that helps distribute items to local residents in need. Nonperishable food items can be dropped in bins located upstairs in the University Union or at the entrance of the Recreation Center through Saturday, Dec. 2. Monetary donations are also accepted through the Food Bank website.

Mustangs Making Miracles Giving Tree

ASI Student Government is participating in the annual Mustangs Making Miracles Giving Tree. Select a gift tag from the tree located in the Student Government office. Each tag represents a specific request from local families, children, or Cal Poly students in need. Bring newly purchased, unwrapped gifts to the Center for Service in Action (52-E22) by Wednesday, December 6.

Cal Poly Hunger Program

The Cal Poly Hunger Program strives to ensure that all students have access to nutritious meals through meal vouchers and the Cal Poly Food Pantry. Any student is welcome to choose from a variety of donated packaged and canned foods, frozen meals, and personal hygiene products available at the Food Pantry. Monetary donations are accepted through the Hunger Program website.
