ASI Children's Programs Receive Quality Rating

By: Jenna Brown on Jun 26, 2017 in ASI Children's Programs

ASI Children's Programs recently received a rating of 4 out of 5 from Quality Counts, a collective effort by the San Luis Obispo Child Care Planning Council to support quality early care and education for all children. The local consortia have joined a larger state and national movement to build a Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) aimed at recognizing the need for and establishing a common definition of quality in the early learning field.

This score is based on the quality of the interactions, the qualifications of the staff, the overall quality of the facility, partnership with parents, and the curriculum presented to the children. The evaluation involved several days of observation and feedback by the evaluators as well as a review of documents and processes.
