Ever wanted to try surfboard shaping, become scuba certified, or go on a weekend camping and hiking adventure? You can experience all of these and more this quarter with ASI!

Spring quarter registration for the following program areas is now open on ASI Access:

  • ASI Poly Escapes: Limitless adventure awaits with Poly Escapes, a premier outdoor adventure program with over 60 outstanding yearly excursions and guided trips throughout San Luis Obispo County and California. Trips are led by student leaders who receive 12 to 18 months of training and take students to destinations including Big Sur, Yosemite National Park, and Sequoia National Park.
  • Aquatics: Choose from a variety of classes in the Olympic-size lap pool and leisure pool at the Cal Poly Recreation Center. Safety certifications and swim instruction are available for all skill levels from beginner to master swimmer. Scuba certification courses include lectures, confined water pool sessions, and open water ocean dives.
  • Fitness: The Recreation Center offers specialized classes that incorporate a progressive framework to build on skills learned throughout the quarter. These classes are designed for all levels and include Capoeira, TRX, Krav Maga, acro yoga, and more.

Registration for the following program areas opens during the first week of spring quarter:

  • ASI Craft Center: Create, design, relax, and restore in the Craft Center with a variety of class offerings and studios for all skill levels to explore. Student instructors lead creative classes that all students and Cal Poly community members can experience including ceramics, woodworking, jewelry making, flameworking, and surfboard shaping. Registration opens on Monday, April 2.
  • ASI Intramural Sports: A variety of indoor and outdoor team sports, leagues, and tournaments are available at low costs to keep participants in the game all quarter long. All skill levels are welcome to participate and each sport is split into divisions and gender leagues. Registration opens on Thursday, April 5.

Participants with Cal Poly portal access can register for offerings through ASI Access. Community members that do not have a Cal Poly portal must register in person with the specific program area. Learn more about each program and registration requirements on the ASI website.
